Default Oops, didn't see that,

I'm doing the new aluminum thermostat housing for a friend and I thought I had all I needed. Well, the bypass hose has some expansion on it and I sure don't want to put it back on. As no one in the area list it as the 2000 Jaguar XK8 type hose, can I use a good generic hose of the same size??? Found one that's perfect, just 10 inch long. So I can get at least a couple out of it, if this is OK. Don't mind using stock, but this might be a upgrade, as the ballooning seems to be a regular problem on stock. Plus a few days to get one from SNG.

Don't see why not as long as it is the correct rating.

These are cheap (under $5) and readily available online if you can wait 2 days.
