Default Out of Winter Storage

Well that nasty Toronto winter seems to be about defeated and Lola is coming out of storage tomorrow. Before she was put away I had regular service done, topped up all fluids, topped air pressure in the tires, put in fuel stabilizer, put a smart charger on the battery , washed her and covered her up (with steel wool blocking any orifices).

Now its time to bring her back to life. Any tips? Cautions? Stories? Anything I need to know or do that I might overlook?

Thanks

Nope.

Open garage door
Check coolant level
Start engine
Ease car into drive way
Check tire pressures

Away we go!

Yes, these cars handle winter storage quite well... check the fluid levels, tire pressures, ensure the battery is charged up & off you go. I'm not so sure the winter in Toronto is coming to an end though! I won't pull any of my cars out until May/June.

for the last 4 years I've had the same routine as you. No issues what so ever.
Wish Winter was over here, I've still got a meter of snow in the yard.

East coast has taken a beating this winter. Hopefully spring is just around the corner for you.

Just to keep this very Canadian thread going, I am hoping to give Fang its spring debut on the 9, 13 or 14th of the month, depending on the weather. We may get another snow flurry or two, but fingers crossed that nothing that sticks.

A few things on the list for this season, but mostly looking forward to the driving experience.

Sitting 4 hours north of you Toronto lads. Snow is going down quick here in Mattawa. Calling for rain next week. once the roads are clear of salt I am getting out for a drive. Bought a 07 XKR Coupe to go with my 2000 XK8 conv. Had to get it shipped up in March and I am dying to get her out for a fun run. You guys are pretty well good to go weather wise.
