Overhead lights and Homelink decided bungie jump out to cabin
The overhead console thing with the homelink and map lights decided to call it quits. This morning when I was about to drive the car I found the assembly and components hanging from the wires.
The black plastic tab that held down the homelink electronics and ensured button contact broke off, as well as the other plastic piece that is screwed to the windshield pillar, that is the one the two front clips clung to. Also, the single clip at the back broke off completely.
Is there a way to salvage this or do I need to buy the entire assembly?
I was thinking about using epoxi gel to glue together the plastic parts that broke off or making a new equivalent out of some aluminium. But what about the one clip that seemingly dissapeared with the plastic that held it to the assembly? That I can't seem to replicate.
