Overheating Issues!? 4.0 V8 XK8
2000 XK8
Things I've replaced Water Pump, Thermostat, Thermostat housing.
Took a while for it to overheat, this time. But I've noticed Vapors coming from both heads. No smoke coming from tailpipes.
And fans are not turning on. When do they usually turn on? Also where is the fan relay fuse located? I would like to replace that before I go into buying new fans, motor.
Insight needed because I love my Jag. Thanks in advanced for your reply.

The immediate answer is to turn the air conditioning on (assuming it is functional). This always turn the fans on...
JaguarXK8Vegas, since your initial post I think you've implied that you've changed the water pump because you weren't sure at the beginning if it had already been changed. How are you getting on with the following suggestions:
-Checking coolant sensor
-Checking temperature sensor
-Checking for clogged radiator, hoses
-Burping the cooling the system/ auxiliary pump
-Getting a ELM327 code reader and the Torque app or equivalent app to measure actual temperatures, read codes etc. Acting on this suggestion would really help forum members help you out, not just for this problem but for any other problems that may (and probably will) crop up with your XK8. In a lot of cases it can also help pinpoint failures better and so minimize use of the throw new parts at it until one of them fixes it method of repair, which can get expensive.
If you've rejected any of these as not worth doing that's OK but it would be nice to know what you've tried. Let us know if your fans work when you turn on the AC.
