Out to give the car a little work out and the CEL comes on and I get a "restricted performance" message.
Ok, two codes P0175 & P0172 indicate engine running rich all cylinders, Clear codes clear MAF connectors drive car.
Again CEL light comes on codes P0301 to P0304 indicating misfires on all cylinders, left bank.
Ok, time for a little clean up. New air filter, STP fuel inkjector cleaner in tank. Purchase CRC Throttle Body and MAF cleaner. Apply all to car.
Check car for leaks and loose connections, nada.
One note here and the reason for this posting. When cleaning the throttle body I left it on the car. To open the butterfly valve you put the ignition into run, don't start car but depress the gas pedal and the valve opens! No need to force it open.
Once all cleaned car started right up and runs great, no codes or lights. One really nice feature on these cars is a little maintenace can really make a big difference.
