Default P1000 - Drive cycle

Hello,

The battery on my car died and the car was in-operable for a while. I recently replaced the battery and went for emissions check - only to be rejected for incomplete checks. I've since driven the car for almost a 100 miles and still have incomplete codes. Is there a specific drive cycle that I need to do to get check change from inc?

thanks

Which specific monitors are not set? P1000 just means that all haven't set, but that may or may not cause an emissions test failure. Does NJ require all monitors to be set? Here in the People's Republic of Kalifornia you can have the EVAP monitor not set (on these years of cars) and still pass.

BTW, I may be in the minority but I've never been able to get monitors to set with the manufacturers' stupid drive cycles. Most include some nonsense like driving for 50mph for 20 minutes, no brakes, yada, yada. That kind of stuff will cause you to become a hood ornament on a large truck around these parts. If normal driving for 100 miles doesn't cause all the monitors except EVAP to come ready, then you may have deeper problems.

Here's a pretty comprehensive thread on drive cycles -

2002 Jaguar XK8 - Chasing Readiness & p1111 - a Fiasco - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

Can't take any credit, but it's a good one.

I think you mean incomplete monitors not incomplete codes.

You can use OBD to see which ones.
