Question Park Brake warning light

Hi guys,

I have an annoying problem in that my park brake warning light has decided to stay on all the time with the accompanying message on the dash and the occassional "ding".

The brake is actually off in that I can easily push the car with the selector in nuetral.

Where is this sensor, at the wheel or the brake lever? easy to get at and fix?

please say it is!!

its on the brake lever at the base. Pull the cover up and off, BUT try pulling up a releasing several times. They LOVE to stick

Don't the XK's have a funny way of releasing the handbrake? A new owner might not know.

The warning light serves dual purpose. Before assuming the switch is at fault, check the brake fluid level:

Driver's Handbook section 4-20.

Just a sticky switch at the lever luckily.

This forum is great for quick and correct answers!
