Default Parking brake

Still learning: Is there any information available on how to adjust the parking brake on a 2002 XKR-100....

If you do a search on "parking brake" and "hand brake" - you should find the answer to your question.
Two things to do :
1. Jack up rear of car - remove wheels and you will see a small hole (about 20mm diameter) on the disc / drum. If you turn the hub so that this hole is at around 12 o'clock and shine a torch through the hole, you will see a sort-of "cog wheel". Use a flat - bladed screwdriver to push this round until the hub starts to bind, then back it off a couple of clicks. Do this on both sides.
2. Under the car about level with the driver's seat, there's a linkage mechanism that transfers the "pull" from the single cable from the parking brake to the two cables which go to each wheel. Tighten the nut until the brake is fully on after three or four clicks of the brake lever, but not so much that the warning light doesn't go off when the lever is fully released.
Unlikely but ............ Because the hole is in both the hub AND the disc, if some previous owner has replaced the disc without lining up the holes you might find that the hole doesn't go all the way through in which case you will have to remove the disc. Also - I think that there's a small blanking plate on some models which you have to "prise out" before you start. Do a search - lots of info and expertise here but you have to look for it !
I can't post the pages from the JTIS manual as mine is on a cra**y old PC that doesn't connect to the internet, and I'm not computer literate enough (or brave enough) to try and install it on my "proper" computer.
Hope that helps.

Jim posted while I was still typing. He is much more talented than me. He can speak French AND he can copy pages from the manual. I can't do either. He can obviously type faster as well !! But - I once did a Jig-Saw in three hours which was really good - it said " 3 - 5 Years" on the box.

Thanks for the laugh David, but it's the wife that speaks French and I have the same trouble with jigsaws.
