Default Passed inspection

Hi all.

Happy day.
My XK8 passed what we call EU-inspection without remarks.
70 00 miles and 20 year anniversary next month. English quality.

Congrats! How rigorous are your (annual?) inspections over there?

Thank you chillyphilly.

The inspection is every second year. They tightened up the rules a while ago, so now it is a quite rigorous 115 points inspection.

Looking forward to the spring. The weather right now is around freezing with drizzle in the air.

Wow, that is extensive. Is it a pass/fail on the 115 point, or can you fail a few and still pass?

Where I live there is only a VIN inspection when it is purchased, just to verify it was not stolen. After that all you have to do is register it yearly (or you can get two year registration here), no inspections unless you live in one of the bigger cities, some of them require an emissions test.

congratulations! I'll be celebrating mine.. mine causes me to lose sleep and paranoia when I park near buildings..

Here ours is emissions and basically if there's a check engine light you fail.. test pad thickness but that's about it.. yours sounds way more intense.. :/

Maryland is a full safety Inspection when the vehicle changes ownership, then emissions testing once every two years. Classic Vehicles with Historic tags (over 25 years old, I think the law changed recently) need nothing. ;^)
