passenger occupantcy sensor
I had the fault code B2291 and flashing amber warning light (2-7 flashes). The local Jag specialist said it was the passenger occupancy sensor, which they sourced and replaced. However this has not cured the problem. I still have the warning light and I'm told the diagnostic machine now says 'low threashold'. They think it must be a wiring problem. Has anyone else had this and was there a solution?
The mechanic that fitted the sensor says he thinks it could reset itself after a while, but no luck yet.
Thanks for any replies.

As STLTHMSTA suggested, clearing the code and seeing if it comes back would be a good start point. Let's hope!
Unfortunately, B2291 and Flash code 17 are applicable to quite a number of potential faults associated with the Passenger Occupancy System and to differentiate between them requires a good Jaguar enabled scanner that gives the Bxxxx codes in the form Bxxxx(xx). You'll see what I mean if you check out FC 17 in the attached document. It appears in some form on most pages! I wonder if your mechanic had the gear to enable him to pursue the right possibility?
The good news is that a lot of possible causes are listed against the various versions of FC 17 faults
