I recently replaced one of mine on my xk8 driver side. It was a 30min job but mine is not a supercharged. In the entire time I had the car I replaced both. If the sensor is bad delaying it is not a problem, it is a problem when it is not the sensor or you have a problem and the sensor detects and you ignore it thinking it is the sensor.
