Default Pictures of my 2006 XKR Victory Edition

I finally had the time to sit down with my daughter and put up some pictures of the XKR we picked up Friday night. Also included are some pictures of my 68 E-Type that I sold. Hope everybody enjoys the pictures.

Yes it has the carbon fiber option. I always thought wood only and then when I saw this car it was instant wow I gotta have it.
The E-Type was my second, I had a 67 in the early 80's. I sold it when my wife and I wanted to move. My wife actually found this with the help of our long time mechanic and gave it to me as a surprise 27th wedding anniversary gift in 2007. She knows my life long love of British sport cars and Jags, so she was all for me selling it to get the XKR. My wife daughter and I really felt sad seeing the E being flat bedded away up to NY.
Like Many others have said I would never have made the move without this forum. It has been my all waking hours insanity for many months.
THANK YOU ALL

I've printed this off in the biggest font my printer will allow and put it up on the wall. Hoping some of the magic rubs off.

You made a wise decision. I too looked at replacing my E when I was selling my XJS I restored (to my crazy standards!) because I remembered how much I loved my first E. but the memories also flooded back about how much work it was to keep it running. And that was when I could still find parts. And I'm afraid I would simply not driven it as much since they are becoming more valuable and I want to own my cars not vice versa.
I'm green over here about that carbon dash!!

The car is beautiful, hope you enjoy it for a long time to come. Can I give your wife the next car on my wish list?

Beautiful cars Steelman3!

When you posted your Victory Edition was copper black with a charcoal interior, I was intrigued to see it. All copper black cars I have seen, including mine, have the cream and saddle interior. Yours would have been a one of one! Please check the paint code in your door jam. It looks like your car is black metallic (PEC?), not copper black metallic (JEP).

Here's a picture of my car.

Yes I will do that. Is there a place to see production numbers of different combinations? I know when I purchased my 2001 SS camaro, which is my everyday driver There was a website to check the number of cars with all the different options. My wife even purchase a plaque that goes on the engine that indicates the number of the car as to all the SLP camaros.

I didn't know they did a straight black metallic! And I looked at every color I could find before I painted my car!!
But you're right, that's not copper black. In the sun, there's a prominent copper metallic hue.
Still beautiful!! :-)

Well I sit corrected. I was going by the dealer description and didn't look at the paint code.
You sir are correct PEC for the exterior and LEG for the interior. Although I find it no less beautiful although not the rare of the rare. I will change my signature.
I gotta say, this is an awesome forum. I have started a folder for the links I am hoping I won't need.
I did take the advice from something I read about extended warranties, I am taking the $3500.00 or so I would have paid and am putting it into an account and figure adding a bit every month.

Doesn't diminish the car a bit. Enjoy your new baby and come to the forum for advice and suggestions. It will only increase your passion for the car.
