Drivers side plenum has a hose fitting near the windshield wiper for what purpose? Is that an air intake or does a hose connect to it and lead where? Leads too the drain that's located 5 inches down from it?

This hole? If so then yes, there should be a hose from it that connects to the fender inner wall. On the photo the hose is the one you can see below the hood/bonnet latch and it also has a strap on it that you'll see is the one hooked over the small tang above the latch.

Good photo. Is this hose terminating within the drain tube next and below the hood latch? Or, extending down the fender inner wall? If the tube is by passing the drain tube then I must need 5 feet of hose and mount it to the fender inner wall, but then where would that tube terminate at? Just having gravity pull the water to the pavement while it's mounted firmly to the fender inner wall? Please clarify where this tube terminates and how?

Another thread to look at:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ew-xk8-154755/

It is one short hose, from the scuttle drain hole to the inner fender wall. It just discharges to the fender cavity. Have a look at your passenger side drain as there is a drain each side.
