Default Power Seat Switches

Would it be possible to have instructions on how to remove the power seat switches on a 1999 XK8? The forward/reverse (front button) is not working (only moves in one direction). Additionally, does anyone have a good source for a used seat switch module if this one can't be repaired? Color is Oatmeal (trim code AGD). Thanks.

More often than not, these problems are broken printed circuit traces in the seat controller mounted under the seat cushion, and not the switch module. Since there is also some risk of cracking the mounting tabs when you remove the switch module, I suggest you swap driver and passenger seat contoller modules and see if that resolves the problem on one side and moves it to the other, implicating the seat controller as your first step in determining the problem.

Default Power Seat Switches

Thank you for the response. Yes, I have already determined that one of my seat controllers is at fault and will be addressing the broken printed circuit traces in the near future. However, the front button is physically unable to move forward, therefore necessitating removal of the switch module. I am aware that the mounting tabs may crack during the process. Step by step instructions on the switch removal would be greatly appreciated.
