Default Power steering reservoir

Does anybody know how to swap out or clean the filter / back flush it on the p/ s reservoir? I have to change the rack and pinion on my '97 XK8 Convertible and don't want to replace reservoir if I can avoid it. Thx.

The only times I've known anyone to replace a Reservoir is to fix a leak and, if you search the forum, this appears to be extremely rare.

Is the flow restricted owing to a blocked filter?

According to JTIS you should change the reservoir whenever you change the rack. Apparently the filter should be replaced and as it is integral with the reservoir . I just don't want to spend the money on a new reservoir with its built- in filter if I can avoid it . There does not seem to be any restriction in the flow so I am assuming it is not too bad, i figure it is a good opportunity to flush the entire system while I've got it . It should be possible to back flush that filter. I need to find a way to do it.
