Default Powerflex bushings

I

recently replaced the upper front control arm bushings on my 1999 XK8 with Powerflex bushings. It seems like the power flex bushings fit loosely on the long bolt going through the upper control arm, and like I should have more spacers or something. I followed the picture attached to this post.

Has anyone else used Powerflex bushings and if so experienced a similar issue?

You still require the caster shims, a total of 2 thick and 2 thin on each side of the car. Other than that it is the powerflex bushings with supplied inner tube and heavy washer each side of each wishbone eye.

Got it. Thank you.

Just to confirm, these are the flat washers, not the multi thickness (not sure how else to describe them) ones?

correct, much smaller diameter than the thicker layered items pictured.

Default Power flex bushings

I have installed power flex bushings throughout my front suspension. Upper, lower wishbones, sway bars frnt and back. Still have the aft stabilizer fixture to do and the aft body bushings, but I like the stiffness it provides and the steering has gotten more precise. The ride is harder but it was worth the pita to change.

Any chance you have a picture of the set up?

No sorry, took before pics, not after. I found the upper wishbones bushings to fit nicely, no play at all. Put the large flat washers on either side and kept the shims in the same place.
the lower wishbones need to be installed in a certain direction due to spacing. Instructions tell you what to watchout for.
so far, so good. Only been a month since installing, so not much actual use yet
