My passenger side window doesn’t want to go back up when I shut the door, but when I open the door it drops that little bit more, I’ve reset the maximum height and maximum drop a couple of times but doesn’t make any difference, any ideas please

 

sure you heard the click at top and bottom?

 

If you have tried the window reset procedure multiple times with no success, you may be dealing with a dying battery....

 

Yes I have heard the click every time, and no it’s a brand new battery only fitted for two weeks

 

As this affects only ONE front window and you can hear the 'click' of the limit switches during the travel reset procedure, the next possible culprit is the door module.

I’ve read somewhere that it could also be down to one of the micro switches on the lock mechanism but which one would it be

 

Personally I dont think its a microswitch ...there are 5 in my doorlock !!!
Sadly you cannot swop the controllers as the drivers and passengers are different.

 

Update, just found some time to check out this problem after reading all the advice, I thought why don’t I try another hard reset before taking off the door card and having a root around inside the door. Yes that has cured the problem, passenger window now works as it should again, thanks to everyone for your help
