pull down hndle in headliner

Fellow XK8'ers-- I am in desperate need of finding a replacement of the little trim piece that fits into the convertible top headliner. The part acts as a place to put your hand if you have to operate the top manually. JTIS calls it the pull-down aperture, but no dealer, nor the parts fiche can find this part. Does anyone out there know what I'm talking about, and know how I can find one? It looks crappy with a ragged hole in my headlliner!
Thanks for your help!

the part is actually in the headliner itself, as part of the convertible top. In all of my other convertibles, this is a plastic recessed insert that acts as a handhold. I'm being told that on the early models, 96-97, there may be no piece here. Any help from those with convertiblesof whether this part exists?
