Default quad exhaust tips for XK?

my wife loves the look of the quad exhaust like the XKR and wants to duplicate that on her '07 XK. unfortunately, the exhaust on the XKR (as i'm sure many/all of you know) isn't just quad-looking tips but 4 separate actual tail pipes, 2 on each side, so i can't just buy XKR tips and bolt them onto hers.

so here's my question: does anyone have any simple, bolt-on suggestions for quad-looking exhaust tips for her XK. i'm not interested in a whole new exhaust system, not even a new muffler. i'm just wanting something easy to replace the existing tips to make it look like a quad. maybe something like this:

Amazon.com: 3A Racing 62-2507 Stainless Exhaust Dual Tip Oval Clamp-On: Automotive

if you don't have any suggestions for good ones, at least does anyone know the size i need to fit over the existing tail pipe and how much room i have to stay within the factory cut-out in the bumper? thx for your help. patrick

I don't know about the new generation XKR, but the first generation - covered in this forum - does not have 4 separate pipes. The quad tips are 'fake' bolt-ons.

Of you're going to go that route, I would highly recommend tips that weld in place rather than bolt in place. Any exhaust shop can weld them on in fifteen minutes, they will look better, and you won't have to worry about them falling off or getting stolen.

current generation XKR's have 4 separate pipes as shown here. thus, i can't just get dual XKR tips and slide them onto the existing XK tailpipes:

Default Dual exhaust

Please keep us updated on this adventure, it looks like an incredible ordeal. I have no suggestions, but any Muffler shop should be able to handle that ordeal. Also send updated pictures, I never knew that Exhaust setup was like that, WOW.

The later (old body style) XKRs have bolt on dual tips. I'm pretty sure any muffler shop can pretty closely replicate the look, but I have no idea if it'll work/fit on the 07 body style.

From what I know, if you wanted to keep the car OE you can swap the complete rear box for the XKR, but I think you will have to change the rear bumper too?

Did you ever get this sorted out? I would like to pursue the same sort of thing for my 07 XK. It looks to me like the "lower cover extension" (trim piece between the tips) from an XKR must be installed if one is to put a faux exhaust tip side by side with the existing tips.
