I have somehow managed to lose one of the 4 relays that operate the rear quarter windows ( don't ask - I'm old ) I know I can probably order one from SNG Barratt but I am wondering if they are just a standard ( maybe Ford ) relay so that I can get one at a place like NAPA . Does anybody know ?

 

Check E-bay and Amazon Search for Jaguar Xk8 relay I found used and new 11 to 27 dollars

 

I am sure that I can find one either used or new online ...my question was more about if it was a standard automotive relay that could be bought anywhere if you knew the correct number ?

 

These relays have internal snubber resistors to avoid upsetting the delicate electronics in the vehicle with electrical noise. I recommend getting an OEM replacement, as many aftermarket relays that fit may not have these internal resistors.

 

OK thanks I will order an OEM relay...it still drives me crazy that I managed to lose it !
