Default Quick Injector Question....

1997 XK8 with fuel rail built into the intake.

I have the fuel pressure released, removed the plug, removed the 2 bolts and the clamp.
But the injector does not want to come out with any reasonable pressure. There isn't much to grab onto and I am afraid I'm going to break the plastic top off it trying to get it out.
So how hard should these be to pull out?

Default Just an observation...

I used to have an intermittent gas smell from the engine compartment and could never figure it out and it didn't do it very often.
I think I found the source when I changed the number 8 injector. ALL and I mean ALL of the injector clamp screws were loose on every injector. Some were even loose by several turns. Obviously not a good thing as an injector could probably back out just enough to leak a little every now and then. I haven't caught another whiff of gas smell since. So if you have a phantom gas smell on a pre '99 XK8 that has the fuel rail inside the intake manifold that could be your problem.

The replacement injectors came with new O-rings. I lubed them first before installing them. No leaks.
