'06 XK8 Convertable:
While searching for a possible cooling system leak I pulled on the radiator fan housing only to have a large piece of it come off in my hand. Tried a different spot along the top and same thing happened...small pieces just broke-off in my fingers.

Is this common? Are replacement radiator housings available? I have not found one yet.

Not sure if the radiator shroud is a common item for deterioration (don't think so), but brittle plastic is a common issue with the cars. There is a lot of heat in that engine bay. The heat and normal aging of plastic shows itself after a few years.

Look on eBay. There are several radiator fan shrouds listed.

Anyone know what range of years will fit a 2006? I did not take the fans out in order to take a good look at it....did not want to break any more of the housing.

Sure be nice if this were made out of aluminum.
