I have a 2005 XKR. On the AM radio I have a lot of static while driving. Any suggestions as to what is wrong?

Hello,
I've got the same problem in my 2001 xkr. Static while driving but none at a stop and occasionally when in a curve or going over a hill. Looking for members thoughts.
Yours, Ken

Dear Bobson,
If you look at the other radio reception thread just above this, you'll see that I have had the same experience as you. When stopped or going over a bump or hump I all of a sudden have great reception, but when moving, tons of static. My 2002 XJ8 is even worse, there is no AM reception, period. I will tell you, that a couple of months ago, the cable on the antenna mast snapped, and I had a new antenna installed, and the reception, while certainly not perfect, is 80-90% improved. There may have been a grounding issue or something, and when the new mast was installed the issue apparently was corrected.
