Radio issues - 01 XKR speakers?

Radio issues - 01 XKR speakers?
I'm really enjoying my XKR vert - but when I adjust the fade all the way to the rear speakers, - all I get is a little bit of base - no voices.
Just wondering if there is something wrong with the Alpine radio - or If I need new rear speakers or amplifiers? any feedback on what I should hear if I'm faded all the way to the back?
