Default ? rattling defrost vents solution...

My car has two occasional rattles that I have finally pinpointed to the defrost vent covers at the base of the windshield on the inside.

Suggestions for how to keep them from doing this?

I don't want to randomly squirt something that I come to regret 6 months later when the weather heats up...

Otherwise this XKR is as solid as my Lexus LS sedans have been (really).

Hi.

Two solutions:

Either glue the vents which is hard with the windshield in place,
or put in foam plastic line between windshield and vents.

Take a look here:

I also did the 3/8 inch vacuum rubber hose, works great, not noticeable, quick, easy, cheap.
