Rear quarter windows on convertibles
If you push the convertible top switch just long enough for the quarter windows to lower and then release the switch you can keep the top up and latched but have all windows open. Used this way the top switch becomes (at speeds when the top switch is allowed to control the top) a ganged rear window switch. Obviously if your driving 40 mph the switch will not be active. Any pitfalls doing this?

Not that I've heard. I use the same feature. I don't think the windows are constrained by the same speed limit as the top operation. I've lowered mine at freeway speeds with no ill effects, where my top won't budge at speeds greater than a leisurely walk.
