Problem solved, thanks.
Yet another thanks to all forum members for the valuable information found here. To make a short story long, I decided to start the tedious engine detailing process on my XK8.
As some of you know already, I did ask questions before I done it. I watched the informative instructional videos found on here. I purchased only the products recommended on this forum and I assured my wife that everything will be fine.
I didn't detail as much as I wanted to and I will not spray any greasy shiny stuff on anything, but we both agreed that it looked so much better that this would be a great stopping point. Lets dry it off, drop the top and enjoy this 75 degree (24c) South Carolina afternoon. 2 minutes into our drive and BAM, "REDUCED POWER", with the check engine light. I am glad that none of you could hear my wife, well maybe some of you did.
So I get back in the drive way, go into the house and pull up this forum. I have a very sophisticated code reader in my tool box but don't know that much about it really, however with the instructions found here we plugged it in. "OPEN #2 KNOCK SENSOR CIRCUIT".
That was easy, where is the #2 knock sensor? Back to the forum, found the sensor, went back to the car and checked it. Yep, knocked it loose. I was able to plug it back in, clear the code and continue with our beautiful afternoon drive. No issues and a clean engine.
Thanks again to all of you that participate on this forum.

Your absolutely right Jim. I have to get better with the camera. I do have some stock photos of my extremely upset wife though if you think that would help. She was pleased at the quick easy fix though so it all came out good.

Yep, I took the credit. She thinks I'm a genius for knowing how to push the "clear fault" on my code reader. Although she does still question my ability to detail a car without making the little yellow light flash.

Did I forget to say.........
Will be doing mine shortly, along with the rest of the car, probably on the Friday ( weather permitting ) prior to the meet on the Saturday.
Hoping for good weather, which probably means it will be the exact opposite.
Although Winter has been fairly kind to us this year, we did have a little snow, wind, rain, sleet and sunshine ALL in one day a short while ago....lol

Shock mounts and tires in 4 weeks. Monday is a trip to Scott Jaguar for a check up and service. They have all the records on the car since new but I've never been there. Lots of good reviews here though about Scott Jag, lets see how they treat me.

Is this a new bleeder tube (arrowed red) to replace the existing one with the worn connector hose (arrowed blue)?
