Between yesterday and today I have been working on the rear suspension. I got the rear shocks and springs off, and managed to swap the lower bush. However, I can’t get the top nut off the shock off to remove the two small foam bushes. Before reassembly into the car.

I tried using an Allen key and a wrench but that got me nowhere. I am afraid of destroying the internal wire for this CATS shock.

Any help is appreciated.

 

Have you tried several doses of penetrating oil such as PB Blaster?

 

I somehow failed to give this a try.

 

The PB Blaster worked. Soaked it for about an hour.
