Recent NavTool 3.0 Installs?
Has anybody purchased and installed the NavTool 3.0 for a backup camera recently?
It looks from old threads that there have been issues with customer service in the past, in addition to it not being plug-n-play although advertised as such. Interested to know if this is still to be expected.
The most recent experience I can find is this thread from user RayR in 2018 Sat Nav Conversion...
I have pretty much given up on my attempted PAC VCI-X install, seems there's something wrong with the unit I bought, so now looking at alternatives.
Thanks!
Comical side-note; last night I dreamt I was backing the Jag out and hit the neighbor's mailbox. Not having a camera is clearly getting to me

Maybe rather than risking going down another obsolete tech dead end, you should just bite the bullet and replace the OEM sat nav with a Garmin? You will then have up to date maps, a touch screen and the ability to easily add back up cameras, and probably for less money than you can find these obscure bits of old electronics.

KC XK8,
What battery life have you seen with that camera? I see it's advertised as three months under normal use but I have learnt to not trust ads
