Default Recondition OEM Idler and Tensioner Pulleys: New Bearings

Originally, we purchased the replacement Gates pulleys, the Idler.#.38006 & Tensioner #380029 trying to locate a noise that finally was located, The Bent Oil Pan & pick up. Another member had provided the bearings number, so we were able to order the correct bearings. Both are same # 6203RS. Timken bearings were used and worked great. Using a proper size socket placed against the outer most point of the bearing, we used a vise to push the old bearing into a larger socket cavity to remove it. On install, a proper size socket for the OD of bearing was used to press the new bearing into the old housings on both pulleys individually. The bearing cavity was cleaned and lube prior to install of new bearings. Now the OEM pulleys are good as new and should serve another 160K miles. There was no indication or feel the bearings were bad, but since we had new, they were installed. Now we have the 2 Gates pulleys with 15-20 miles of use. Maybe we should offer them for sale to someone. $40 + S&H ($10?) seems a good deal. Will also post into the For Sale section
