I once owned a Volkswagen Passat that had red dash-lights, looked REALLY cool! I would LOVE to get the same in my XK8, has anyone performed a conversion to red dash-lights??

 

Unfortunately only when something electronic goes bonkers and then the whole dash light up in a wide array of colors<G>

More seriously I would guess that many of the dash board lights used for just illumination purposes could be replaced with red LED's but I'd think it would entail a lot of dash disassembly leading to some new squeaks and rattle when you were all done.

 

I really would not go looking for trouble!

The Instrument Pack and Minor Instrument Pack bulbs are all clear. The display colour comes from the translucent sections in the dials. Changing bulb colour alone is unlikely to have much effect and you would have to change the dials for a conversion to red.
