Hi guys, 1998car. Would you please remind me of something? I'm trying to evaluate if my AC controller is going bad or not.

AC on auto. Its warm interior of car warmer than temperature setting. Does a red LED illuminate next to the controller's choice of vent (Dash, footwear, dash + footwell, or defrost)?

I ask because yesterday I did a rare ride with roof closed on a warm day. Have to say the AC didn't make it comfortably cool as fast as I recall. Then when I looked down to verify it was set to dash vents, I noticed that no LEDS were illuminated.

If I choose dash, yes it illuminates and auto turns off. I thought I remembered that even auto illuminates the delivery vent. (Hope I'm wrong though ha ha)

Hi John - hope you're good?

If you have 'Auto' lit & press any of the vent buttons, the auto light will go out & the vent will light, and vice versa. Sounds like it's all working OK

Mine wasn’t very cold at all so I just took it to be refilled. On the way home it nearly froze my face off.
