Remote Trunk Boot Switch
Pophen I am trying to understand how the system works and obviously I don't, but I agree to me the symptoms are of a valet switch that does not disengage and I'm still troubleshooting.
Thanks for your input.
Frog I had the local body shop that does the work for the Jaguar dealership tint/paint and clearcoat the tail and brake lamps. While some I'm sure would not like the look, I could'nt be happier with the way it has turned out. It has not diminished the light level significantly when lights or brakelights are applied but in my opinion has cleaned up the rear of the car and added a stealth factor. The car is black and although the flash on the camera provided additional directed light on the lights, they appear to blend in the rest of the body. Thanks

The switch is located in the Latch Assembly in the base of the Trunk. To service it, you must remove the plastic cover in the Rear base of the Trunk.
