Dear forum,
As I already changed the dash navi screen to the 3 gauge cluster (jagwrangler), I always wanted to remove the DVD navi module in the boot as it had no use anymore. Now I recently bought the A2D-JAG98 (MUSIC STREAMING CHANGER RETENTION MODULE FOR SELECT 1997-06 JAGUAR) so as I had to work on the CD changer anyways it was time to tackle this.
Searching the forum I could not find the correct procedure for doing so so I ended up removing the whole bracket. First removing the hydraulic roof pump on top of the bracket and then loosening all the bolts. This was quite an ordeal to be honest. When I finally got everything out I saw that it could have been much simpler.
By removing just 4 easy accessible bolts you can remove the amp, dvd nav and cd changer in one easy go. Just follow these steps:
Remove the cables from the amp from the side (2 wiring harness and 1 cable (from dvd navi) see pic 1 (arrow)
Remove the 2 bolts on top of the bracket. See pic 2
Remove 2 bolts at each side of the bracket. See pic 3 and pic 1A
Then you can slide out the whole assembly. After that it is pretty easy. First remove the amp (4 bolts) and than remove the side brackets from the DVD and CD player. So for me the DVD module is now out and the bluetooth module is placed on top of the CD changer.
