Well the MOT has come with a list as long as your arm....
Tester says bolt securing front seat broken but it looks to me like the foam of the seat has come away ....how do you remove the switch panel so you can pull back the covering ...???
That helps me to say dont do that ...I think I will pull the seat ..its I think what is holding the foam to the frame that is my problem though the MOT man thinks its a broken bolt mount..
Is this the piece you are referring to in your post? “switch panel” 3rdt picture
If so, here is how it is held in place. 2nd picture
Be careful removing the switch because it is easy to snap the clip style retainer.
However, this has no relationship to securing the seat to the floor. The seat is secured by 4 bolts that can be removed by adjusting the seat back and forth to the stops. 1st picture
Thanks for all the help ...The MOT man was right the frame was cracked so a quick out .turn it upside down and in with the TIG and all should be fine. Chance to reinforce all the weakening springs!
