Has anybody installed this system?
I see they have sound clips on that site but you need to ask.
Any opinions?

 

I don't have it on my Jag, but I do on my Mercedes 300CE Sportline. Sounds good but a bit "ricer" to me. The system was on the car when I bought it, otherwise, I wouldn't have put it on. In my opinion, a luxury car with a loud exhaust just doesn't look or sound right.

 

Remus never sounds ricey...it's the time first I hear somebody say that, if you say it's loud, you got the sound clips? can you host them?

 

I can try and record and post some in the next day or two. The car sounds like a Honda or Mitsubishi in my opinion.

 

I meant the actual Jaguar sound clips, I don't care about the Mercedes.

I really like the deeper and richer tone, the stock exhaust is raw.

 

Gentleman may i say that i have fitted a pair of Remus Exhaust Silencers to my 1999 V Reg XK8 Convertible and its the best £500 i have spent on the car

Not only do the units look fantastic , the quality of the S/Steel and Chrome is jaw droppingly beautiful , but they just add a little bit of V8 music that i think the XK8 needs

They are not noisy but just add a slightly duller V8 rumble
At no time are these noisy
With the roof up you would not know these were fitted
With the roof down and under hard acceleration they sound great but never boy racer

The car is still a quiet and refined motorway cruiser

I wholeheartedly recommend this exhaust
