I have a 99 XK8 and I wanted to see if anyone has replaced the ac hose from the evaporator to the compressor and if so how?

 

There is a TSB for this (X308 sedan but nearly identical problem). The replacement hose(s) is/are 2 piece. A tubing cutter or small cut-off wheel is used to sever the original and then the replacement hoses are installed.

I had to do this a few months ago on a customer 1999 XK8.
I chose to displace the compressor forward to get the one hose in place but the recommended procedure is to remove the left cataverter from the flange.

I also dropped the steering rack a little for access.
