Has anyone come up with a replacement front undertray that's not plastic? Or produced spec for fabrication of one? Having a hard time ponying up 275$+ for a new one and I think the general consensus is good luck mate in finding a used one. Mine was completely missing on my XK8 when I purchased it.

Dave, there is a few people in DFW parting out XK8's both in FTW and Dallas. Check Craigslist and contact them. Some of the cars look like blown motor or transmission cars with no body damage.


Lots of horror stories about driving around without an undertray as it ties a lot of stuff together.

 

Will do, I often overlook CL when searching for parts. Just rebuilt the front end so I'm not too terribly concerned with scraping up the plastic undertray, though a more durable alternative would be better.

 

A new XK8 popped up on the Dallas Craigslist: 2001 XK8

The top of the nose looks undamaged, but it looks like the lower spring perch on the shock failed, so the tray might be scraped.


The Cup holder is down even after the accident, so someone will snag that fast.
