Default Replacing ECM-Plug n Play or Not?

I followed JamesJag thread and plan on replacing or having my ECM Redone. If I have mine redone, do I have to have it syncronized as the JTIS Disc says or will it be Plug and Play as I've read elsewhere? If I get another ECM to replace mine, will it require synconization or will it be Plug and Play? My JTIS Disc says I have to do the following after getting a new ECM from my Jaguar Dealer for a Gazillion Dollars, I have to Synchronize my ECM,KTM,BPM using PDU and engine setup using JDS/PDU. Plug n Play, I can handle. I can't afford to pay the Dealer, so I'm a do it myselfer. Thanx in advance for your kind and friendly support.
Ooops! I forgot. This is a 97 XK8 with 55,000 miles on it. I used process of ilimination on the Ignition Control Modules by switching them. I came up with the same 4 cylinder and same bank being bad with the ICMs in either position. Codes were P0352 with cylinders B,C,E,H and 1368 Ignition monitor bank B (group 2)
