report on rebuilt hydraulic rear cylinders
Had a leak at rear wheel. With info provided on this forum by Gus and Steve.c3h8, I was able to remove the back seat and interior, to access the two leaky rams. Sent them to Tophydraulics for rebuild. Turn around time was quick, they answered my questions and were courtious. Over all the job was pretty easy. I did however put a small gough on the side of the front seat, and also, after installing the rebuilt rams, I saw that the rams portal connections were pointing north and south, and that the top ones had to be turned 90 degrees to line up with the hose from the pump. In addition, when I tried to lower the top the first time, tho I filled the resourvoir, their was still too much air in the line and the top just collasped into the rear. I was lucky the rear window didn't break. It took about 5 ups and downs, and adding fluid to bring it up to the full area of the resourvoir. Now I'm hoping, with the pressure relief valve, that the latch hose won't leak for a long time yet......Mick

Thanks for the report, I believe you are the guinea pig for the forum. :-)
