I have an '03 XK8. Lately, the right turn signal will come on by itself as you move the steering wheel. Pushing the signal lever to the left will usually turn it off but it really seems to have a mind of it's own.

I suspect that the switch is bad and I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to replace it without removing the steering wheel - what with all the trouble that involves.

I found one post in here but it was a little vague. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Xk's Unlimited has the cheapest JA-LJA6455BC switch I've seen at $226.38 but they range on up to over $400 which is what I expect the dealer to get me for.
