Default Rocker panel molding

My driver's side rocker panel molding came loose on my driver's side, the snowstorms are really doing a number on the rocker panel the rivets look like they have all deteriorated besides the fact my car is now 12 years old and I expect some things to be wearing at this point. It is holding on from the sides but I'm waiting for the rivets which I ordered through Rover Jaguar Ventura CA with my VIN # they were very reasonably priced. Now I have to try and replace the rivets. It looks as if there is a panel blocking the area where the pins have to be placed in order to pop back into the corresponding holes. Will I have to take off the whole panel or can I do it while it is partially attached, does anyone know how hard this is to do? If anyone has any instructions I would appreciate it. I can't seem to find anything online as to how to do it.

Without knowing what model year we are dealing with it is hard to offer advice. Use the User Control Panel and and the vehicle information to your signature and it will always show up.
I would recommend going to JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource a website from one of our members GUS. You can download the complete tech manual for your vehicle and the Body and Exterior trim section will have all of the details.

I've added vehicle details to your forum Signature so they will appear automatically from your next post.

After Googling to find out what a "rocker panel" may be and discovering it's what we in the UK call a "sill" (), I checked JEPC (the Parts Catalogue) to see what is involved in securing it.

In addition to the Rivets (item 6), there's also Clips (see items 7 and 8) and a separate End Cap (see item 5).

The rivets should simply drill out using a drill of the same diameter as the rivet pin. The panel will then pull away from the vehicle to release the clips.

If you're lucky, some of the Clips may just have popped out but, as the panel is hanging off, there could be some broken.

I'd remove the panel to properly assess the damage and probably replace ALL the clips and rivets.
