Default Rubber Valve cover gasket

I'm planning on doing my secondary tensioners in the near future and I've ordered them and the Felpro valve cover gasket from RockAuto, part number VS50724R. It's for the 3.9L Lincoln but I've been told it's the identical part but cheaper because I'm not ordering the Jaguar part. When I opened the box, I was surprised because they are rubber gaskets and I just wasn't expecting rubber. Does anyone know if rubber is correct or did I get the wrong part?

Well, they are silicone rubber and I would call them seals rather than gaskets. When tightening them down visualize them as seals and realize that more than snug will crack plastic covers without improving the oil retention.
