Default S/C single sided belt (re)conversion

My car has the double sided belt conversion (just the S/C) but I'd like some more options for belt length, for pulleys and such. From inspection, it looks like the only pulley that runs on the outside of the belt is the idler, and the others (S/C, crank and tensioner) all run on the inside that would have been ribbed anyway.

So, two questions:

1) Is the idler the only one that I need to change?

2) Anyone know of a source for a smooth pulley? I checked Gaudin, and they have the smooth version listed as obsolete and only have the double ribbed model available.

Thanks in advance.

Almost all of the aftermarket idlers are smooth. Look over at rockauto to get a picture and part number. About $20, so much cheaper than anything Jaguar is going to sell you anyways.

Rock auto doesn't list one explicitly for the S/C idler but is it the same as the accessory idler? The parts catalog says it's a different number but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's actually different.

Try looking in a different section of their catalog as it can fall under air or fuel systems.

Or, check the online manufacturer application catalog which gives a full description and dimensions.

If you would have mentioned this over the weekend, you could have had my old idler pulley from my superv8, i just changed the whole assembly - belt, idler pulley, tensioner, and idler pulley bracket to fix the squeaky belt when cold syndrome. It was put in the trash on the curb this morning...nothing wrong with any of the old parts either.
