Default S type (STR) guy needs help from the XK(XKR) community

Greetings to the heavier and arguably sexier friends from the S type forum. I have a heck of a problem that perhaps you gentlemen can help me with

I've been attempting to source a white/green supercharged hood badge/bonnet that comes for a 2006 XKR Victory Edition (part #C2N3703) to replace my hood leaper. Incredibly after exhausting all my research avenues I've learned that Jaguar has DISCONTINUED making this part and replaced it with a generic black/green supercharged badge which I do not want on my vehicle. Is there any source, even a parted out XKR victory edition, any of you gentlemen is aware of where I can obtain this badge?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm incredulous that Jaguar would discontinue making an exterior part that could potentially destroy the aesthetics of a very rare care. I'm more than a bit upset.

Thanks in advance,

Christopher

Here is a link to the photo of the piece I seek.

I say good luck. It's a piece from a rare car. I'd talk to Dan at Nalley Jaguar and see if he can source one through the dealer system. He may have contacts that could find one.

The Victory Edition has the checkered flags on it, right?

Might be really hard to find one of those.

Correct, that's the generic XKR one which I'm not interested in. It clashes with my cars aesthetics IMHO.

I'll keep trying. The Jag community is a great one. Thank you so much for the help so far. I'll be calling Dan tommorow.

I've seen that badge on a site somewhere...let me see if I can find it again....I think it was a UK shop.

Crap, it was a Silverstone badge that I remembered...but that place has some neat, misc items...not too expensive either like over here. XK8 oil cooler hose 25 pounds, ABS harness 16...even after currency conversion, thats a great deal!

I'll keep looking for the victory...seems familiar somehow, like I did see it.

Gaudin Jaguar's website allows you to order the C2N3703 for $75, but you might want to call to see if it really is 'available'.

Try here - BADGE-BONNET - Terrys Jaguar Parts

Ohhh, good one here...Adamesh sells them

Consider a RED badge instead? Link 1 Link 2 This guy will ship from the uk

Guys, he is looking specifically for this badge:

I have exactly the same one on my 2005 XKR, only someone at some stage (not during my ownership) has tried to pry it off and damaged it. I would also like to find one. I recall seeing them somewhere, but they are really expensive for what they are, like $150 or something!

Ahhh, well that explains it, I couldn't find the one with any flags on it. Man, I must've been half asleep when I was hunting the web last night (early this morning...) sorry for the bum links

Thank you all for the help.

I spoke to Dan today and he was very helpful.

The part has been fazed out some time ago, and the part number (C2N3703) formerly for the victory badge now encompasses the standard green/black XKR badge. He said it was available up until around 2008. There really is nothing that can be done by Jaguar. I could try to randomly call up Jaguar dealerships and hope one has an old badge in stock (and yes I might!), but as for now I'm going to try salvage yards and see what I can dig up.

It's still unconscionable to me that Jaguar would cease production on parts for a very exclusive vehicle only 5 years old.

I don't understand why you'd think a rare badge that probably almost nobody purchased as a replacement would still be produced 6 years after they ceased production.

One of the hardest things to find for any car are rare badges.

I have to agree xenophobe, after working for a large corporation, as an example they would run 500 units and order 600 pieces for them. After assembly the remainder would go for parts, and once used that was the end of them.

To put it simply, the badge was likely no longer produced just 2 years after assembly. How are owners supposed to supply parts for their brand new cars if accidents occur? It's out of line to me.

Thanks everyone for their help. I"ll keep yall updated.

WOW! Sorry to say that I just installed one of these on my XKR. I bought it from ebay UK about a year ago. Keep looking and watch ebay UK regularly. I have bought many Jag items there.
