I have my 1999 xk8 convertible for almost a year now -
loving my xk. Recently noticed both my Driver and Passenger seat do not illuminate seat belt warning light/chime when someone is sitting in seat unbuckled. Seat belt reminder light illuminates on startup, guessing along the car’s life someone disconnected warning. I have two questions: does this affect air bag operation if belts are buckled, and does anyone know how to reconnect seat belt reminder. Thanks for any help!

 

Following this one as I have the same. My seatbelt light does light up during the instrument check.
