Default Seat belt warning while buckled - 2007 XKR

Had the convertible out yesterday for a bit (recent move to Missouri necessitated a trip to the service station for an inspection so I can get MO plates) and noticed seat belt warning would not stop, even though I was buckled up. I had a file on the passenger seat (weighed about a pound), moved that off - no luck. Unbuckled and re-buckled my belt a few times - no luck.

Any advice? Thanks - Mike

A low battery can cause all sorts of electrical glitches. Do you keep it on a battery maintainer?

I assume nothing's in the back seat and your front driver's seat isn't applying downward pressure on the backseat. I would try bucking all seats first to see if you can isolate. If the light doesn't go out, you'll want to get the DTC codes.
