Default Sat Nav, Pulling my hair out :)

Question guys. I have just bought an XK8 R. It has a Sat Nav system that works when I use the remote, however how can I use the Sat Nav from the dash board controls. I have read all the info and cant find the answer, any solution gratefully received. Thanks

There is no remote for the factory sat nav, but if you post the make and model of yours, perhaps a forum member has some experience to share.

It must be an after market unit, any pics?

Default Remote Pics

Thanks, Norri, I should have done this first time. Pics attached. It also has a special storage slot in the glove box.

Default Sat Nav

I have been off line for a few weeks, and have still been trying to get my Sat Nav to work from the Dash Board controls, as I said in earlier thread it operates from the remote. I posted pics of the unit and hoped that some one can shed some light of this problem.

Your car has an aftermarket Alpine Sat Nav which was integrated with the factory screen, that is why the dash controls do not work. If you can still get upgrades, you are in a better position than most...the factory SatNav maps are not upgradeable beyond 2003.
