My 2000 has sat nav which is a joke as we know since its so outdated. I do have a couple questions though maybe someone can shed some light on.
First off, all I can get this thing to do is come on and go to the live map, cant set anything, change anything, scroll though anything. Yes I know how to work the joystick and buttons but it only does one thing and it bugs me. Am I missing something here ? Though it is funny seeing how it shows NOTHING road wise where there are roads now. I live in an area that pretty much got developed in the last 10 years and the sat nav is 12 years old so it only shows about 1/3 of whats here, LOL.
Secondly, while scanning XKR's on ebay I saw one had an analog clock displayed on the sat nav screen. If this available, is there a way to set it. I dont mind looking at the Jaguar name and leaping cat with the small digital close in the lower left corner but still, I like the other clock better.
Third, I noticed some fluid under my battery in the trunk. Im curious, maybe power top fluid leaking?
Thanks again gentlemen for any input you may post.

When the screen in displaying the leaper, press the joy stick in and the nav system should starts up and display the standard nav disclaimer (i.e. if you drive off a cliff it's not our fault, etc.). You press the joy stick in to acknowledge this warning and it should go to a map. At this point you should be able to press the menu button to go to a screen where you have options to go to settings, enter a destination, etc. If yours doesn't do this, I suspect it not working correctly.
As for the Clock, this is the new (2003) firmware, which included some map updates as well. I suggest to install this update as it might fix your problem and give you the clock. You need to download the new software and burn a DVD. There is a thread on this in the FAQ section:

Hi John Fox, I have the genuine DVD Jaguar disc part number 4W83-10E898-FA that converts the leaping cat with digital time into the full screen analogue clock.
However it is set up for a Japan configuration and shows Tokyo time. This cannot be adjusted to your time as it was set in Coventry U.K. for the Japanese market.
I could send the disc to you to try out, if it doesn't work , send it back to me.
Assuming it did work and converts your software, you can remove the disc,as the clock becomes a permanent image on your screen by default and works without the disc.
