Default Scanner for XK8

Thinking about getting a scanner and am wondering if there is one that shows engine/coolant temperature in real time, WITHOUT rewiring.

I've looked at the ScanGauge page and see one of the 'bullet points' of the unit is indeed: Coolant and Intake Temperature

Anyone have a scanner in their XK8 that shows the temperature?!

Many thanks,

frank

Looking at getting the ScanGauge2. It does display the coolant temperature, with some lag in time, but it's in seconds, I believe. And, it is black and slim in appearance.

Anybody have one and can verify the COOLANT TEMPERATURE feature and how it works, so far as showing the temp in real time?

thanks again!!

I use the UltraGauge on a windshield mount. You have your choice of dozens of gauges to display, including coolant temp. It also shows (and clears) trouble codes.

Scangauge works on my '05. Gives coolant & intake temp, fuel pressure and volts, among other things.

A cheap Bluetooth OBD reader and the "Torque" app on a smartphone also works well. I use the Bluetooth and app more than the Scangauge as there are no wires and it gives you gauges where the Scangauge is just four numeric readouts.
